ScandiROCK – paper made from rock

ScandiROCK is a revolutionary product!

It is manufactured entirely free of the wood pulp we normally see in paper production. The main component is rock: 85% calcium carbonate (mineral calcite) 15% HDPE/additive (High Density Polyethylene).
Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is a raw material that occurs naturally in calcium rich deposits such as limestone, marl and chalk. CaCO3 is used in many countries around the world, including Denmark.

ScandiROCK is can be printed as a paper, but possesses many of the properties of plastic

ScandiROCK is resistant to water and oil, has high tear-resistance and is an extremely durable and versatile printing product. Which is why ScandiROCK has been met with widespread acclaim in the printing and packaging industry.
ScandiROCK is also available in a special version with HDPE lamination that makes the material well-suited to thermal mould casting and heat-sealing. The two versions can be combined and sealed to one another at approx. 160°C.
